[ARLB] #5 Q&A Essentials: Behind the Name & More

🔴 Recording

Nin, we’ve already got five questions.

No way. We just posted our first video today, so there shouldn’t be any viewers yet.

Exactly. So, this time it’s more of a Q&A “format”, where we talk about the basic info people might need before they start supporting us.

  1. Who are the members of ARLB?
  2. What’s the origin of the name ARLB?
  3. Any secrets about the studio?
  4. What does the channel logo mean?
  5. Any fan names?

Sounds good.

I gave Hans a hard time during our last shoot, so today, I need to watch out and avoid any negative comments…

1. Who are the members of ARLB?

Let’s introduce ourselves again.
I’m Hans. I’m a sophomore at Sifono University, studying law. My specialty is dancing! I hope to show it off here someday.

I’m Nin. That’s a pseudonym. I live in Verrofu, Patolando. I’m the same age as Hans and currently taking a break from college. I was in sociology, but… let’s skip that part. My skill? Maybe… managing to avoid internet backlash?

Oh, that’s cool! More from Nin this time, huh?
We, separated by a 15-hour time difference, met online by a miraculous chance and started posting videos. Check out our previous video for more details!

2. What’s the origin of the name ARLB?

Now, onto a question everyone’s probably curious about.

It’s still a mystery to me too.

I wanted a name starting with A, and names with alphabetic sequences seem trendy for groups, right? That’s why I wanted to go with that.

Wondering who you’re competing with… Anyway, we chose the rest of the letters by a roulette, so there’s no deep meaning.

True, but we did spin it several times to pick the best one. A, R, L, B, kind of like game controller buttons! The A button, right, left, B button. We also wanted to do game streaming, and this virtual shooting environment is like a game, so it felt perfect!

So, there you have it, folks. Then, the official name is “A Right Left B”?

Eh? Isn’t ARLB okay?

Ah, okay. Fine.

3. Any secrets about the studio?

Our studio is pretty basic for now.

But there are personal touches. First off, the platform is the well-known “LiberaHive”! Its customization features made it easy for us too.

*Note: LiberaHive is a leading metaverse platform operated by the mega-venture Duedro, where everyone can create and visit custom rooms called “cells”. It features extensive customization and command options.

I grow Pachira at home, so I got to place one here.

The cat on the shelf is modeled after a stuffed animal I made in elementary school.

You showed me the picture, and the resemblance is uncanny.

It’s a room where we’ve placed things we like. I’m looking forward to adding more to this shelf.

4. What does the channel logo mean?

The logo’s based on the peace symbol, with something resembling the letters ARLB. Hans whipped it up quickly.

It’s a bit rough around the edges, but bear with us. We chose the peace symbol because we live far apart and aim to get along well.

We don’t have much in common, so there wasn’t a better fit.

5. Any fan names?

The last question is, do we have a fan name?

Eh? You mean, do we want to create one? Got any ideas?

Not yet, no.

Come on.

Hmm… Something related to the peace symbol from our logo?
Let’s see, Peacekeepers, Harmonizers…? But we’re just here to entertain, right? Shouldn’t it be more about enjoying our videos?

“Entertain”…? Amusing others? These concepts are unfamiliar to me. Can I even do that?

No, I joined ARLB for a reason, so I should at least try to embrace it…

An hour later…

So, after some discussion, we’ve decided to call our fans “Unarmed”!

Our primary goal is… uh… yeah, it’s ‘entertainment’, and we believe a relaxed and tension-free atmosphere is essential. Therefore, we aspire to a world where being armed or aggressive isn’t necessary.

We understand there are those in armed professions and situations like war. Our intention isn’t to demean or exclude them, as exclusion contradicts the peaceful world we envision.

When engaging with ARLB content or thinking about us, we hope you feel at ease, ‘unarmed’ in a sense—in a calm state of mind. That’s the story behind the fan name.

Also, we, along with any friends who may join us in the future, commit to not carrying weapons.
In your fan art, please refrain from depicting us with weapons or similar objects.

We appreciate your cooperation.

That wraps up this Q&A! With that, we’ve shared all the basic info, right?

This video is practically a channel management meeting!
Well then, see you, Unarmed pals.

…How can I, who struggles to even feel useful, manage to entertain others?
